What should we wear to our session?
A.There are a couple of things to consider as you plan your outfit/s for a photo session.
1. Be comfy and be you. Whether this is dressing up or dressing casual, I recommend wearing something you feel comfortable in so you feel more relaxed and like yourself during the session.
2. Avoid clashing patterns and loud colours. Together these things can distract and take the focus away from the best part of the photo--that being YOU!
3. Neutrals are always safe. If you're unsure on what colours to wear, neutral colours are always a safe and beautiful bet.
What gear do you use?
A.I have the Canon 5D Mark IV camera body which I use for my shoots and a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art Series lens.
Can we bring our pet to our session?
A.This is one of my most loved questions to which I say, yes, yes you can! Besides loving animals myself, bringing your pet to your session can enhance the fun that's to be had and can be great for photos too!
Where will our session take place?
A.This is a question I love to discuss with all my clients when I have an initial call or consultation with them. I love to collaborate with them and hear what they may be thinking of and would like, and from there I can suggest places that may suit or sometimes they will want to go to a spot that's special to them and that's where we go.
What happens if one of us is sick?
A.If someone becomes sick, whether it's you, someone else involved in the shoot, or myself, we can reschedule to another day that works for everyone.
We are awkward in front of the camera, can you help us?
A.Absolutely. Posing in front of the camera can be an awkward thing for some, especially with someone you just met, so I get it. The way I work during a shoot is to give those I am photographing direction and prompts so they are never left wondering what to do.
How long will it take before we receive our images?
A.A portrait session usually takes 2 weeks to be delivered (3 weeks in a busy season).
For weddings, there will be a sneak peek sent within the first week and then the rest of the photos are usually delivered within 6-8 weeks from the wedding day.
What are the payment terms?
A.For portrait sessions, there is no required deposit and full payment is due by the date of the shoot.
For weddings, a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 business days of booking, and the rest of the payment is due 3 business days before the date of the wedding.
